Days are flying by until the Vegas trade show massacre, so lately we have been plotting, scheming, and creating to get everything together before time runs out on us. Me chick and I mashed up to LA to hit a few prop / Halloween type shops to get some goods for the show, and while we were there we managed to weasel our way through the hoards of tourist goons hounding the fake ass batman for pics, to hit up the Ripley’s Museum. First we stopped by Dapper Cadavers prop shop on Hollywood Blvd to have a look around and try to pick up a few items along the way.

They do prop work for shows like Dexter, SAW, Bones, and a bunch more. They have a massive supply of goods for rent or sale, this time around though we we’re just getting some good ideas.

You can tell this guys been put to work.

This maybe something I have to comeback for, as soon as I figure out something to use it for.

After a ridiculous search for a parking spot, the goon gauntlet and 37 next “BIG” MCs tryins to pawn off there newest mixtape we finally made it to the freak show that is Ripley’s.

This unlucky fisher got scewkerd through the melon by a rabid killer swordfish. Looks like it missed the eye ball by barely an inch.

This freak of nature was called The Human Salamander. He would crawl into a furnace heated on full blast with a leg of lamb, come out 30 mins later unphased with a perfectly cook chunk of meat. There was another dude that did similiar things in China but it still makes no sense to me.

Vampire Killer Kit, possibly useful…

This guy was dedicated to keep the party rolling with his mobile stripper pole…

Saw this new piece of concept art from Rob Zombie’s upcoming flick over at Shock Tell You Drop. The nasty artwork was created by Alex Horley, giving us more room for our imaginations to run crazy trying to puzzle what this 2009 release will be all about. From this art alone, I’m defiantly looking forward to see what Ole Robert Cummings has up his sleeve.

All the grind and mad scientist plotting in the lab has all paid off. The tees are here and they are tagged, folded cripsy and ready to haunt the world. As like last line the tees are avaible in sizes S-3XL but this go around we even got tees for the Banshees (Ladies), S-XL. Our printer killed it and we are as happy as a crackhead in Columbia. The tees will slowly leak out to our accounts and be strung up on our webstore by the weeks end, so keep an eye out for those and some nasty sticker packs also. This line is gunna be limited with a very rare chance at reprints, so do whatever you can to get your hands on these things before they vanish. In Montauk, NY this government mutated creature has washed ashore and stumbled apon by some vacationing beachgoers. Shortly after contact with this mutation 5 out of the 5 people that came in close range of the beast has now died shortly after. A 2 mile quarantine zone has been set up to maintain a safe perimeter to stop the spread of infection. If you know anyone that has been in the area or has shown sign of infection please contact the National Enquire… Seriously though this odd looking freak beast has shown up a few miles down from an Government Animal Testing facility in NY. Peep how Chihuahua Zorak flips all onlookers he bird, that thing is vicious…

If money wasnt an everyday issue for me, $200,000 seems like a small cost to pay to live out your childhood dreams of being an astronaut. “At an aircraft hangar deep in the Mojave Desert this morning, the space tourism company Virgin Galactic unveiled one of the crafts that will boost paying customers up to the edge of space. Called the “WhiteKnight Two” by British tycoon Richard Branson, the vehicle will act as a mothership by flying to 48,000 feet with a smaller spacecraft slung between its twin fuselages. Then the spacecraft, SpaceShip Two, will detach and fire its rocket engines to take the six passengers the rest of the way up.”

Another Con at ComicCON 2008

Once again the massive hoards of goons, geeks and gamers have arrived in SD for the ComicCON 2008. I lagged horribly to get myself a ticket, so on a last minute swoop, I hit up Craigslist and picked myself up a pass for Thursday at a disgusting inflated price, but when that nerdy urge comes once a year you gotta satisfy the beast within. I had a late start to the event after picking up my ticket, so unfortunatly I missed the freebie scrounge rush by an hour or so, cause all the goods had already been snatched up. Last year my swag stash was busting at the seems of my WB bag but I guess you cant win ‘em all. Some of the sicker things about the CON 08 was the full blown Watchmen Nightowl flyer, as well as the Zombie Chopper chopper which is to sick for words. Even though the event seemed damn near identical to last years, the number of people there, appeared to have Mogwai Multiplied. And this go around, the dressed up nerds came out in full force, but just when I was about to being my documentation of all the oddities my cameras battery ran out. I did get some sick snaps of the overall show and some goodies that were displayed so peep the pics from my 5 hour walk journey to the all mighty CON…

Haven’t seen Feast 1 and don’t plan on seeing Feast 2 but this kinda makes me wanna change my mind…

If these guys are the villainous face for the new upcoming G.I. JOE, then The Cobras don’t stand a chance…

Who Watches The Watchmen

I’m not sure how I let this slip by me, but the trailer for the graphic novel adaptation The Watchman is finally here. We have been laggin on the posting trying to get the bugs out of the word-press but fixed or not this is a post that cannot be passed up. As soon as I heard a movie was coming out based on the book, Markavich demand I read up Watchman, cover to cover, and soon after I started into the first page, I was hooked in. Bad ass characters along with in depth looks into the crooked underworld of human life, as the balance is held between whats good and whats evil in the hands of a has been super hero click of friends. I could honestly ramble on and on about this insane masterwork by Alan Moore, but you best route of gaining your watchmen badge would be to go and pick yours up NOW. Be one of those smug ass punks that can comment on how much better the book was compared to the movie, I know I will be. This trailer does show me that some of the visual effects I didn’t think they could pull off, they dove right into, like the glass/sand castle emerging from Mars towards the end of the trailer. This thing has BIG potential to be the next smash comic book to film adaption, so for now peep the trailer and dive into that book before it hits the big screen.
